Four animals — leafcutter ants, howler monkeys, a tiny bright frog, a blue morpho butterfly — each with a secret Oliver works out and writes down in two lines. Then everyone follows the fourth one too far and the light goes; what gets them out is the first entry in the journal. And at the end a fifth secret — a huge print, and nobody can say what made it — gets a question, not an answer.
