Shipping Policy

This policy applies to printed (hardcover) books. Digital products (the PDF storybook) are delivered instantly by email and download and do not involve shipping.

1. Print & Fulfillment Partner

Printed books are produced on demand and shipped through our print partner, Lulu (lulu.com), which prints and ships from facilities around the world. Once your order is placed, your book enters production.

2. Production Time

Every hardcover is checked by a human designer before it goes to print. You have 12 hours after buying to change the text or images; after that the designer reviews the book (a further day or two) and sends it to print. Printing and binding then normally take about a week before your book ships. Hardcover binding may add a little extra time.

3. Shipping Cost

Shipping is included in the hardcover price. There is no separate delivery charge — not at checkout, not on arrival. The price you see is the price you pay.

We are able to include it because we only offer hardcover delivery to countries our print partner can reach for a cost the book's price covers. That is why the list in section 5 is shorter than our print partner's full network.

4. Delivery Estimates

Delivery time depends on your destination and the shipping method. As a rough guide, after production:

Every hardcover ships by standard mail. We do not offer an expedited or express option, because delivery is included in the price rather than chosen and charged at checkout.

Our print partner's own estimate, counted in business days from the start of production to your door, runs from about 6 days for the United Kingdom and India to about 19 days for Canada and the Nordics, with most of Europe near the middle.

Combined with editorial review, plan on roughly 2-4 weeks from order to doorstep. Customs and peak seasons can push this to about 5 weeks.

Shipping times are estimates, not guarantees. Delays can occur due to customs, postal backlogs, weather, or peak seasons, and these are outside our control.

5. Where We Ship

We post printed books to the countries listed at checkout — most of Europe, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, India and Türkiye. The country list shown at checkout is the authoritative one: if an address cannot be reached, you will be told before you pay, not after. You can also check any country on our home page.

This list is narrower than our print partner's network, and deliberately so. Because delivery is included in the price (section 3), we offer the hardcover only where delivery costs less than that price can carry. Countries outside the list are not places we refuse on principle — most are places we expect to offer again.

We cannot post a hardcover to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine at all: our print partner does not deliver there, and that is not expected to change. A number of other territories are likewise outside their network.

Separately, couriers sometimes suspend service to a region at short notice. When that happens we remove those destinations from checkout until service resumes, so the list you see at checkout is always the current one rather than a general promise.

The digital book is not affected. It can be downloaded in any country, including all of the above.

Where the person receiving the book lives somewhere we do ship, you can enter their address as the delivery address even if your own country is not on the list.

6. Tracking

Where the chosen shipping method supports it, we'll share tracking information once your order ships. Economy mail may not include tracking.

7. Problems With Your Order

If your book arrives damaged or does not arrive within the estimated window, please see our Refund Policy or email info@booku.design and we'll make it right.
