Before you decide

Questions people ask before they order.

If the answer you need isn't here, email us and a person will reply, usually within a day or two.

Will it be any good?

Will it actually look like us?

That's what the free preview is for: add a few photos and you'll see the cover and the first chapter — with both of you drawn in — before you decide anything. Likeness isn't perfect every time. If a picture misses, you tell us what's wrong and we redraw it, before or after you pay. If it's still not right, you don't pay.

Can I change a picture I don’t like?

Yes, and you can do it on the free preview before paying a penny. Every illustration has a "change this" option where you say what you’d like different — a face closer, an extra person removed, a different moment — and we draw it again. Earlier versions are kept, so you can switch back if you preferred the first one.

Is the story really written for our child?

Yes. It's written around the name, age and details you give us — the people in their life, what they're into, what's happening for them right now. Take the child's name out and the story stops making sense, which is the test we hold it to. It isn't a template with a name dropped in.

What ages is it for?

It works best for ages 3 to 6. The reading level follows the age you enter, so a book for a three-year-old is shorter and simpler than one for a six-year-old.

Our photos

Are our photos safe?

We use your photos only to illustrate your book. They are never sold, never shared, and never used to train AI. We keep them so you can redraw a picture or reorder a print later, and we delete them whenever you ask.

How many photos do you need?

One clear, front-facing photo of the child is enough to start. You can add up to three, plus photos of anyone else who should be in the book. More angles of the same face usually help the likeness more than more people do.

The photo on my phone is an iPhone HEIC file. Is that a problem?

No. Pick it as normal and we convert it for you. If a photo genuinely can't be used we say so straight away, at the point you add it, rather than letting you finish and then telling you.

What you get, and what it costs

What exactly do I get?

A complete 26-page illustrated storybook with your child as the hero, as a PDF you can read on any device and keep forever. The printed hardcover is optional and includes the digital book.

How much is it?

The preview is free — no card, no sign-up. The full digital book is €6.99, one-off. A printed hardcover is €33.00 on top, shipping included, so €39.99 all in. Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout. No subscription, ever.

Do I have to decide about the hardcover now?

No. You can add it later from your library at any time, for the same price. Nothing expires.

How long does it take?

The wizard takes about five minutes. Your free preview — the cover and the first chapter, fully illustrated — is ready about seven to ten minutes after that. The full book takes about ten to fifteen minutes once you order, and we email you the moment it’s done, so you don’t have to wait on the page.

Printing and delivery

Where do you ship?

We post printed books to 57 countries — most of Europe, the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada, India and Türkiye. The list moves as delivery costs change, because delivery is included in the hardcover price rather than charged on top. You'll see the current list at checkout, and if we can't reach an address we tell you before you pay rather than after. The digital book downloads anywhere.

Can you post it to someone else, in another country?

Yes — this is one of the most common things people do. Enter their address as the delivery address at checkout and the book goes straight to them. It doesn't have to be the country you're ordering from.

How long does a hardcover take to arrive?

About two to three weeks, printing and post together. If it’s for a birthday or Christmas, start early. The digital book is ready the same day either way, so there’s always something to give on the day.

If something goes wrong

What if I don't love it?

You see the preview free before paying anything, and there’s a money-back guarantee on the full book. Our first instinct is to fix it — tell us what’s wrong and we’ll redraw it — but if it still isn’t right, you get your money back.

I'm not very techy — is this hard?

If you can send a photo from your phone, you can make the whole book. It’s a few short questions and a photo, and we do the rest. Most people finish in about five minutes. There’s nothing to install and no account needed to see your preview.

Do I need an account or a card to see the preview?

Neither. The preview is genuinely free and you only make an account when you decide to buy.

The quickest answer is to see your own.

Answer a few questions, add a photo, and watch the first chapter of your book appear — free, before you pay anything.
